This specific unit originates from a 2012 Solaris bus, meaning it complies with the strict Euro 5 and EEV (Enhanced Environmentally Friendly Vehicle) emission standards of that era. Technical highlights include high-pressure fuel injection and efficient turbocharging, which ensure high torque even at low engine speeds.

Use in Proven Bus Models

Thanks to the solid mechanical design of the PR 183 U2, the engine remains an excellent candidate for a general overhaul or a direct replacement.
